Spanish II

WORLD LANGUAGES Lenape Valley Regional High School offers sequential study in three world languages: Chinese, French, and Spanish. All courses concentrate on the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in order to develop functional communication in the target language. Using a variety of techniques, the Modern Language Department helps students enrolled in these classes achieve the following proficiencies:

 

• Develop listening comprehension and oral fluency in the selected language;

• Master the grammatical foundation and syntax of the language studied;

Heighten awareness of the culture and history of the nation or nations in which the selected language is spoken.

LEVEL II (Grades: 9-12)

College Prep 5 Credits

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level I.

​

Level II College Prep has been designed for those students who desire to build a strong background in order to earn entrance into a college undergraduate program. Students in this course are offered the opportunity to extend their learning of the target language. After a review of the basic structures acquired during the Level I studies, students will: expand their learning of the spoken word, refine their pronunciation, be challenged with selected readings designed to expand working vocabulary, hone writing skills, and increase their knowledge of the culture of their respective language.
